We believe that knowledge is power, and we strive to know our clients as well as our clients know themselves. Below you will find some brief information about the various entities that our firm represents.

Allen County Hospital

Allen County Hospital [Client since 2003] is a 25-bed acute care facility located in Iola, Kansas. Their 104 active member medical staff features primary care physicians and specialists in general surgery, radiology and urology.

Their team consists of 165 skilled employees who staff the hospital 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Volunteer groups include the Allen County Hospital Auxiliary, Red Cross Volunteers, Junior Volunteers, Lifeline Volunteers, and Hospice Volunteers. As a hospital, they serve the communities included in Allen, Woodson, Neosho, and Anderson counties.

Associated Builders and Contractors-Heart of America Chapter

Associated Builders and Contractors-Heart of America Chapter (ABC) [Client since 2005] is the Kansas and Missouri Chapter of a national association, consisting of 77 chapters, representing 25,000 merit shop construction and construction-related firms with two million employees. ABC’s membership represents all specialties within the U.S. construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the industrial and commercial sectors of the industry.

Entertainment Software Association

Entertainment Software Association (ESA) [Client since 2006] is the U.S. association exclusively dedicated to serving the business and public affairs needs of companies that publish computer and video games for video game consoles, personal computers, and the Internet.

The ESA offers a range of services to interactive entertainment software publishers including a global anti-piracy program, business and consumer research, government relations and intellectual property protection efforts. The ESA also owns and operates the E3 Expo.

Hospital Corporation of America (HCA)

Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) [Client since 1994] is the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services, composed of locally managed facilities that include 163 hospitals and 105 freestanding surgery centers in 20 states and England. At its founding in 1968, Nashville-based HCA was one of the nation’s first hospital companies.

Health Management Systems (HMS)

[Client since 2008] Health Management Systems (HMS) is the nation’s leader in cost containment solutions for government-funded, commercial, and private entities.

Focused exclusively on the healthcare industry since our founding, HMS helps our clients ensure that healthcare claims are paid correctly and by the responsible party, and that those enrolled to receive program benefits meet qualifying criteria.

By deploying our proven approaches, HMS recovers in excess of $1 billion for our clients every year, and saves them billions of dollars more in erroneous payments.

Kansas Association of Chain Drug Stores

Kansas Association of Chain Drug Stores (KACDS) [Client since 2008] is the professional association of chain pharmacies throughout the state of Kansas.

Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy

Kansas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (KAMFT) [Client since 1988] is an organization of Marriage and Family Therapists in Kansas from students of MFT to advanced clinicians, educators and leaders. KAMFT is also the state division of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.

Kansas Association of Masters in Psychology (KAMP)

Kansas Association of Masters in Psychology (KAMP) [Client since 1999] is an association which represents the interests of all master level psychologists throughout Kansas. It is a nonprofit organization founded to promote parity, identity, and communication for psychologists in training or trained at the masters level in the professional, academic, governmental and consumer communities.

Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (KANA)

Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (KANA) [Client since 2009] is a nonprofit association whose purpose is to advance the profession of nurse anesthesia, enhance the art and science of anesthesiology, and facilitate the provision of accessible, affordable, high quality care. Membership is limited to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) who are members of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA). CRNAs are advanced practice nurses registered by the Kansas Board of Nursing Certification as a nurse anesthetist is granted through the AANA’s Council on Certification. CRNAs must hold a current state license as a registered nurse, graduate from an approved education program, successfully complete the certification examination, and comply with continuing education requirements for recertification.

Kansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (KAREI)

Kansas Association of Real Estate Inspectors (KAREI) [Client since 2007] is a not-for-profit association of professional real estate Inspectors and affiliated members, dedicated to the ethical and professional development of the real estate inspection industry, diligent in representing the interests of its members, and dedicated to disseminating information to the public which fosters a positive image and relationship. Members of KAREI are interested in providing a strong voice in matters affecting the inspection industry and maintaining high standards of conduct as reflected in the KAREI Code of Ethics.

Kansas Cable Telecommunications Association (KCTA)

Kansas Cable Telecommunications Association (KCTA) [Client since 1999] was founded in 1970 to represent the cable industry, which began as a way to bring television to homes in remote areas that were unable to receive conventional over-the-air broadcast signals. Over the years, KCTA has provided its member companies with a single, unified voice on issues affecting the cable and telecommunications industry in Kansas. KCTA is proud of the role the cable industry has played in development of competition for video, high-speed Internet and telephone services in Kansas.

Today, KCTA also serves as an education forum, providing Kansans with information about the complicated issues affecting the communications landscape in the state. Together, the industry and consumers play an important part in advancing technology policies that increase competition, encourage investment and innovation and provide real choices for Kansas consumers.

Kansas Counseling Association

Kansas Counseling Association [Client since 1996] was chartered in 1959 and is a state branch of the American Counseling
Association. As the association for professional counselors in Kansas, our 640 current members work in a variety of private practice, community agency and religious institutions, elementary, secondary, and post-secondary schools and colleges, and university faculty settings. The mission of the Kansas Counseling Association is to enhance human development through the lifespan and to promote the counseling profession.

Kansas Dental Association

The Kansas Dental Association [Client since 2011] is an association whose mission is to promote public health and health services, advance the art and science of dentistry, and foster an awareness of the obligations of the dental profession to society.

Kansas Hearing Society, Inc. (KHS)

Kansas Hearing Society, Inc. (KHS) [Client since 1987] exists to meet the educational and advocacy needs of both Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists in the State of Kansas.

The Society provides a centralized program where professionals can obtain CEU’s necessary to meet licensure requirements in Kansas and surrounding states. Since programs are normally approved by AAA (American Academy of Audiology), the audiologist can use this meeting to obtain CEU’s necessary for state audiology licensure.

Kansas Mental Health Counselors Association (KMHCA)

Kansas Mental Health Counselors Association (KMHCA) [Client since 1996] is the professional association of mental health counselors specialty within Licensed Professional Counselors. Their issues include health care, credentialing, and all issues that impact mental health relating to Professional Counselors.

Kansas Physical Therapy Association (KPTA)

Kansas Physical Therapy Association (KPTA)) [Client since 2011] is non-profit professional association representing physical therapists, physical therapist assistants who are licensed to practice in Kansas, and Kansas physical therapist students and physical therapist assistant students. KPTA’s membership consists of approximately 1,000 therapists and therapy students in Kansas.

KPTA is a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), the national professional organization representing more than 75,000 members.

Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association (KRHA)

Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association (KRHA) [Client since 1998] represents Kansas’ restaurants, hotels, motels, country clubs, private clubs and allied businesses and serves the interests of the members of the food service and hospitality industries in Kansas.

The association was organized as a 501(c)(6) corporation in 1929 as the Kansas Restaurant Association (KRA) by bringing industry leaders together to promote quality food and beverage operations.

Today, KRHA is the leading business association for the restaurant and lodging industries in Kansas, which is comprised of 7,602 locations, a work force in excess of 97,000 employees, which is 9.2% of the total private sector employment, retail sales volume of $2.99 billion per year, $158 million in state sales tax collections and $21.9 in transient guest tax collections. Along with the Kansas Restaurant and Hospitality Association Education Foundation, the association works to represent, educate and promote the rapidly growing industry of hospitality.

Kansas School Counselors Association

Kansas School Counselors Association [Client since 1994] is an association whose vision is to promote the implementation of the Kansas Comprehensive School Counseling Program, advancing and insuring quality academic, career, and
personal-social development of all students by Professional School Counselors.

Kansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (KSRT)

Kansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (KSRT) [Client since 2002] is the professional association for radiologic technologists in the state of Kansas.

Kansas Beverage Association (KBA)

Kansas Beverage Association (KBA) [Client since 1991] is the trade association for bottlers of carbonated beverages, non-carbonated beverages, and bottled water Kansas.

LoanMax

LoanMax [Client since 2005] is a financial company providing short-term consumer loans by utilizing vehicle titles.

Menorah Medical Center (MMC)

Menorah Medical Center (MMC) [Client since 2003] is a full-service, acute care hospital in Overland Park, which provides some of the most advanced treatment options available in the Kansas City area. MMC has a comprehensive medical staff with more than 600 physicians who offer exceptional experiences and extraordinary medicine for adults, newborns, children and teens.

The hospital continues to be a leader in cancer care. MMC was the first to introduce the area’s only CyberKnife®. This revolutionary new treatment for destroying harmful tumors does not require surgery or anesthesia and lets the patient go home immediately after treatment with few, if any, side effects. MMC is also the only hospital in Johnson County to offer Mammosite®, an advanced technology for breast cancer.

In 1999, MMC formed the Mid America Sarcoma Institute, a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals dedicated to the care and treatment of patients with bone and soft tissue tumors. The Sarcoma Institute has been known to treat more patients than the Mayo Clinic. This is a testament to Menorah’s commitment to providing quality cancer care for the local and regional communities.

Mental Health Credentialing Coalition (MHCC)

Mental Health Credentialing Coalition (MHCC) [Client since 1995] is a coalition made up of Marriage and Family Therapists, Masters Level Psychologists, and Professional Counselors.

Midwest Transplant Network (MTN)

Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) [Client since 2006] is the community’s connection to organ and tissue procurement and public awareness exclusively for Kansas and the western half of Missouri. MTN is a federally certified not-for-profit Organ Procurement Organization (OPO) and has been committed to providing quality results in all facets of transplant and procurement services since 1973.

Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA)

Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) [Client since 2004], together with the Motion Picture Association (MPA) and MPAA’s other subsidiaries and affiliates, serves as the voice and advocate of the American motion picture, home video and television industries in the United States and around the world. MPAA’s members are the six major U.S. motion picture studios: Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures; Paramount Pictures Corporation; Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.; Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation; Universal City Studios LLLP; and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. We are a proud champion of intellectual property rights, free and fair trade, innovative consumer choices, freedom of expression and the enduring power of movies to enrich and enhance people’s lives.

National Cooperative Refinery Association (NCRA)

National Cooperative Refinery Association (NCRA) [Client since 2001] is an energy company that takes crude oil pumped right out of the ground, and makes it into gasoline and diesel fuel ready to be used in cars, boats, trucks, and farm equipment.

NCRA is also a cooperative, which means we are owned by our customers. They have three Member-Owners; CHS Inc., Growmark, and MFA Oil Company. Like NCRA, they are also cooperatives, but rather than having just three Member-Owners as we do, they each serve thousands of farmer Member-Owners throughout the upper United States. As a fuel producer, their roots and our purpose is to provide fuel for the farms of Mid-America through their Member-Owners.

NCRA requires a wide variety of systems and processes, from the 85,000 barrel-per-day refinery in McPherson, to over 60 trucks and over 1,000 miles of pipelines moving crude oil and finished products to various tanks and terminals — but most importantly, NCRA requires people. They have an experienced workforce of close to 640 employees who do an excellent job of keeping it all running and moving in the right direction.

National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri (NKF)

National Kidney Foundation of Kansas and Western Missouri (NKF) [Pro Bono Client since 2001] is a major voluntary health organization which seeks to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases, and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation.

Services and support are provided to kidney patients, transplant recipients, and their families; donor families; and renal health care professionals. Currently, there are more than 450,000 people living in the designated service area who have some form of kidney or urologic disease. Countless others may be at risk.

Occidental Chemicals (OxyChem)

Occidental Chemicals (OxyChem) [Client since 2006. Previously Vulcan Chemicals, since 1988.] is a leading North American manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins, chlorine and caustic soda – key building blocks for a variety of indispensable products such as plastics, pharmaceuticals and water treatment chemicals. Other OxyChem products include caustic potash, chlorinated organics, sodium silicates, chlorinated isocyanurates and calcium chloride. For every product it makes, OxyChem’s market position is No. 1 or No. 2 in the U.S. and No. 1, 2 or 3 in the world. Based in Dallas, Texas, the company has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Canada, Chile and Brazil.

Occidental International Corporation [Client since 2004] is an international oil and gas exploration and production company, and its OxyChem subsidiary is a major North American chemical manufacturer. They are the fourth-largest U.S. oil and gas company, based on market capitalization of $66 billion at year-end 2009, with nearly 30,000 employees and contractors on four continents.

Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation (Oxy)

Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation (Oxy) [Client since 2004] engages in oil and natural gas exploration and production in three core regions: the United States, Middle East/North Africa and Latin America. They are a worldwide leader in applying advanced technology to boost production from mature oil and natural gas fields and access hard-to-reach reserves. They have consistently replaced and expanded reserves through improved recovery, strategic acquisitions and focused exploration.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center

Overland Park Regional Medical Center [Client since 2003] has been serving the healthcare needs of Johnson County and the surrounding counties since December of 1978. The hospital is a licensed 343-bed facility offering acute medical care services to our patients. The hospital campus features four medical office buildings, two pharmacies and the offices of more than 100 physicians.

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation (PBPN)

Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation [Client since 1999] is a tribal unit that originated in the Great Lakes region. The Reservation is now located in Jackson County, Kansas. After years of various trials and tribulations, within the last decade, the nation has experienced a revitalization: The introduction of gaming activities has initiated an improvement in social, educational and cultural leadership programs. As a result, the nation is able to provide a wide range of opportunities for employment and business development while contributing to the economic viability of the region. Today, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation can once again look optimistically to the future and to the preservation of a valued culture.

RAI Services Company

RAI Services Company (RAI) [Client since 1988] is a subsidiary of Reynolds American, Inc., which is the parent company of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, American Snuff Company, LLC, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company, Inc. and Niconovum AB.

Wesley Medical Center

Wesley Medical Center [Client since 1994] is an acute-care center licensed for 760 beds and 102 bassinets. The medical staff of 700 physicians and 3,000 employees provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for patients from throughout Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Every year, more than 25,000 adults and children are inpatients and more than 6,000 babies are born at Wesley. Founded in 1912 by a regional organization of the Methodist Church, Wesley has been an HCA facility since 1985.
