Established in 1988, Hein Law Firm is a Topeka-based firm which provides governmental affairs, monitoring, lobbying, and political consulting services. We pride ourselves on upholding a high reputation of integrity, honesty, and professionalism, and there continues to be proof in our success in the long-term relationships that we maintain with our clients. In twenty-three years specializing in lobbying, we have built strong relationships with legislators, Governors, statewide elected public officials, administrative officials and staff, Kansas U.S. Representatives and Senators, and Regulatory Agency Officials.

Our legislative and agency monitoring activities are extensive and comprehensive. During the legislative session, the firm’s lobbyists are at the Capitol virtually full time. There is active participation in legislative functions and events and adequate social events to permit constant interaction and communication with legislators, executive branch officials, legislative staff, news media, lobbyists, and all persons involved in the legislative process.

We believe that knowledge is power, and we strive to know our clients as well as our clients know themselves. It is important that we understand our clients’ industries and business at the federal and state levels, and be fully informed in order to be responsive to legislators’ questions. Therefore, we spend a great deal of time educating and informing ourselves about the client and their business/profession. We do this by researching statutes which impact our client, knowing how our client conducts its business or operation, analyzing arguments for and against the positions of our client regarding the many issues affecting them, determining key policymakers regarding our client’s issues, and reviewing past history of efforts with regard to our client and its issues.
